White-Label SEO Reports: Branding and Plan Checks

For Agencies
What agencies should check before choosing a branded reporting workflow for their clients.
Short answer
Check what the white-label option actually includes
White-label reporting lets an agency present client reports under its own branding, within the scope supported by the software. A logo on a PDF does not automatically include a custom domain, branded emails or a client portal. Evaluate the exported document, delivery method and account limits separately.
SEO Analyser’s public pricing page lists white-label reports for Pro and white-label and branded reports for Business. It lists up to 10 projects for Pro and unlimited projects for Business; Pro report scheduling is an optional add-on. Check the current plan and the required branding surfaces before committing to a client workflow.
Definition
Define the branding surfaces you need
Start with the deliverable the client receives. A branded PDF, a scheduled email and a dashboard link may use different templates and settings. Specify which of them needs the agency logo, colours, contact information and domain.
White-label presentation should not obscure the origin or limitations of the data. Keep source names, reporting periods and metric definitions clear, and respect the reporting tool’s terms for attribution. The agency’s value comes from interpretation and action as well as presentation.
A useful procurement test is to request a sample export and, if relevant, a sample delivery email and shared dashboard. Inspect each one as a client would, including links, footer text and permissions.
Why it matters
Make the report useful to the client
Consistent branding and structure can make reports easier to recognise, compare and discuss. They do not prove better retention on their own. The report should explain the change, its likely causes, what remains uncertain and the next action.
Separate metrics by source and meaning. Search Console clicks are not GA4 sessions, and an AI citation count is not a website visit. Align periods and filters where appropriate, and explain differences instead of forcing unlike metrics to match.
Use a repeatable report template with room for account-specific findings. Include completed work, relevant outcomes and the next agreed priorities rather than filling every export with all available charts.
The alternative
Compare reporting approaches by the work they require

| Task | Manual or custom workflow | Native reporting workflow |
|---|---|---|
| Collect data | Choose sources and document how extracts are reconciled | Verify which integrations and metrics the product actually includes |
| Apply branding | Maintain an approved document or dashboard template | Inspect branding options on every required output surface |
| Deliver reports | Assign an owner and a delivery checklist | Check schedule settings, add-ons and failed-delivery handling |
| Manage accounts | Keep files and access separated by client | Verify project limits, permissions and client data isolation |
Either approach can work. Compare setup time, recurring review, access controls and maintenance, not just whether an export button exists. Automation reduces some manual steps but does not remove the need to review the interpretation.

In the meantime
Prepare a repeatable client-reporting process

- 01
Name and separate client projects
Use recognisable names and check access boundaries. Avoid internal shorthand in client-facing exports.
- 02
Define a consistent reporting scope
Agree which metrics answer the client’s goals. Record the date range, comparison period, source and any filters.
- 03
Test the actual deliverables
Export a sample, inspect branding and layout, open the links and check what a recipient without your login can access.
- 04
Verify delivery and review ownership
Confirm the plan supports the required schedule, then test it. Assign responsibility for failed deliveries, data gaps and the written explanation of results.
Compare plans against the reporting requirements
Start with the current plan comparison, then request a sample report and verify the required branding surfaces, project allowance, location allowance and scheduling terms. Review Traffic Analytics, Web Audit and AI Visibility for each client’s data needs.
